Take advantage of the many children's books about pumpkins at Bradford County Public Library. Some suggested reading for October:


"The Fierce Yellow Pumpkin" by Margaret Wise Brown
"A Pumpkin in a Pear Tree" by Ann Cole
" Pumpkin Eye" by Denise Fleming
"Grow a Pumpkin Pie!" by Jane Gerver
"Pumpkin Circle, the Story of a Garden" by George Levenson
"All New Crafts for Halloween" by Kathy Ross
"The Little Old Lady Who Was Not Afraid of Anything" by Linda Williams



Wear a costume and come to the Library for Trick or Treat. There will be some stories, and a craft activity. The Library will give free book bags to each child on Monday, October 30th at 6:30 p.m. during Trick or Treat @ the Library.

Reading Is Fundamental has been providing books to children for 40 years. Look for reading activities and book lists for children at www.rif.org.

Read with a child every day.
